As if by magic, find yourself transported back in time to the golden
age of silent cinema as Phil favourite Carl Davis brings a rare
opportunity to experience classic silent film, with a live orchestral
accompaniment. Join us as we follow the romantic adventures of a
little tramp who falls in love with a blind girl selling flowers in
this Charles Chaplin classic City Lights (1931), featuring Davis’
tactful restoration of the original score, created by Chaplin himself.
All preceded by Gershwin’s glittering overture to Girl Crazy
containing some familiar hit Broadwaymelodies that have survived the
test of time, and his epoch-making jazzy favourite, Rhapsody in Blue
featuring Ian Buckle.
