MODERN TIMES

1936 Silent Film
USA, 87min.
Director/Screenwriter/Producer: Charlie Chaplin
The Cast: Charlie Chaplin, Paulette Goddard, Henry Bergman
Thursday, June 12, 6:45pm, Palace Theatre

This was the last of the great silent feature comedies which was
filmed in 1936. While the world had long since adapted to sound pictures,
Chaplin felt that he did not need synchronous dialog to tell his story.
Organist Jeff Barker will provide incidental music which will compliment
Chaplins original score and sound effects.

Interesting. How many other great silent comedies were filmed in 1936?
And, considering Chaplin's leisurely working schedule, wasn't it filmed
from about 1932 through 1935 or 1936?
